About me:
Originally from England, I have been based in Norway for nearly 40 yrs. I possess an international training and certification as EFT Couples-Therapist and Supervisor, and am affiliated to the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy, based in Canada / USA. My educational background is from both Great Britain and Norway, with degrees in The Humanities and Special Education, a Master’s degree and professional qualification in special education from Oslo University, a clinical training in Family Therapy from The Arctic University of Northern Norway (Tromsø), with further professional studies in Systemic Family Therapy and Narrative Therapy from the Regional Center for Child Psychiatry in Oslo. I also possess a professional training in Integrative Psychotherapy having trained under the auspices of Fritz Perl’s Institute, Germany. In addition, I have worked with both Music Therapy and Story Telling as a Healing Art and have published materials and articles in these fields.
Understanding the prerequisites for good communication and relationships have been the central theme in my work both as teacher, music therapist, educational psychologist, researcher, psychotherapist, family/couple’s therapist and supervisor. I have been fortunate to gain professional experience from all levels within the health and education system. I have been responsible for training and clinical supervision of students in Family Therapy to master’s degree level at Oslo Metropolitan University, and am supervisor for other therapists. I work closely with other professionals and networks wherever this is possible.
I run a private practice for couples, families and individuals in both Oslo, Nesodden and online.
